SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Tangshan Huate Bitumen Storage is planning to start up its new 500 tonne/day polymer modified bitumen (PMB) unit at Tangshan in Hebei province in October, a company source said late on Tuesday.

The unit will produce styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) bitumen and emulsified bitumen and the products will be sold to Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the source said.

Tangshan Huate is mainly engaged in bitumen storage and distribution businesses.

It has a storage capacity of 80,000 cubic metres and can distribute 100,000 tonnes of bitumen each year, according to the source.
