SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fushun Chenglong Petrochemical plans to ramp up the operating rate at its 450,000 tonne/year paraffin wax plant at Fushun in Liaoning province to 100% of capacity by the beginning of October, said a source close to the company on Wednesday.
The plant was started up earlier this week, the source said without giving a specific date. Details on the current operating rate were not available.
The source added that the company’s paraffin wax will include fully and semi-refined wax with melting points of 52-62°C.
“Fushun Chenglong’s plant will be the largest single site for paraffin wax production in the world in terms of production capacity by October,” the source said.
The start-up is expected to weigh on paraffin wax prices further as the paraffin wax supply in ?xml:namespace>
