Industrial Resins (Malaysia) to restart PVC plant within the week

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Industrial Resins (Malaysia) Bhd (IRM) plans to resume production at its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant in Johor Bahru at the end of this week, a company source said on Wednesday.

IRM’s PVC facility with a nameplate capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year was shut last week for mechanical repair, the source added.

Other PVC producers in Malaysia include PVC Malaysia, which is under the PETRONAS group, as well as Malayan Electro-Chemical Industry and Kaneka Paste Polymer.
