Ukraine's titanium dioxide Jan-May 2012 output down 1.1%

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Ukraine's titanium dioxide production fell slightly in the first five months of 2012 compared with the same period last year, the country's statistical agency said on Wednesday.

In January-May 2012, the country's titanium dioxide output amounted to 63,880 tonnes, down by 1.1% year on year, the agency said.

Ukraine’s main titanium dioxide producers are Crimean Titanium and Sumykhimprom.

In May, Crimean Titanium produced 9,435 tonnes, up by 0.8% year on year. However, Sumykhimprom's titanium dioxide production in May was down 1.2% year on year at 4,003 tonnes.
