China’s Jishen Chemical to start up a PO unit in Oct 2013

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Jishen Chemical, a subsidiary of Jilin Shenhua Group, will start up its 300,000 tonne/year propylene oxide (PO) unit located at Jilin province in northeast China in October 2013, a company source said on Thursday.
The construction of the new unit, which will cost yuan (CNY) 2.5bn ($394m), started from April this year, the source added.
The PO unit is a joint venture project between Jilin Shenhua Group and Jilin North Chemical Company, according to the source.
