SINGAPORE (ICIS)--German industrial gases firm Linde Group has secured a contract to install and operate nitrogen and hydrogen on-site plants in the Philippines to support the petrochemical operations of JG Summit.

The actual contract was awarded to Linde Philippines Inc by JG Summit Petrochemicals Corp, which is building the southeast Asian country’s first naphtha cracker in Batangas, Linde said in a statement late on Wednesday.

Linde said it expects to invest a total of Philippine pesos (Ps) 630m ($15m) for the industrial gas plants.

In January this year, Linde Philippines brought on stream its new 24 tonne/day carbon dioxide plant in Balamban, Cebu with an investment of Ps205m.
