SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s biggest oil refiner Sinopec will invest yuan (CNY) 600m ($94m) in a 172 km-long refined oil pipeline between Zhumadia and Xinyang, which are both in Henan province, central China, a company source said on Thursday.

Construction work on the pipeline, which will be able to transfer 2.25m tonnes/year of refined oil, started on 28 June, according to the source.

After the construction is completed, the new pipeline will be connected to an existing pipeline that runs between Luoyang in Henan province and Guangshui in Hubei province, the source said.

The source did not say when the new pipeline will start commercial operation.
