Japan’s Mitsubishi Rayon to shut down Nantong PMMA plant on 15 Aug

BRISBANE (ICIS)--Japanese chemical producer Mitsubishi Rayon Co (MRC) is planning to shut down its 60,000 tonne/year polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) plant at Nantong, in China's Jiangsu province, from 15 August for planned maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

The plant is scheduled to be restarted around 30 August, the source added.

Other PMMA manufacturers in Asia include South Korea’s LG MMA, Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical, France’s Arkema and Taiwan’s Chi Mei.
