HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories and production were lower in the final week of June, according to Energy Information Administration (EIA) data released on Wednesday.
The data was delayed by one day because of the US Independence Day holiday on 4 July.
Ethanol inventories for the week that ended on 29 June were at 20.3m bbl, down 500,000 bbl or 2.4% from 20.8m bbl the previous week.
The decline also marked the second consecutive week that ethanol inventories have come down.
Ethanol production was at 857,000 bbl/day for the week, down 26,000 bbl. or 2.9%, from 883,000 bbl/day a week earlier.
