SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Zhenghai Ecological Technology restarted its 40,000 tonne/year emulsion polyvinyl chloride (E-PVC) plant at Binzhou city in Shandong province after a week-long maintenance on Friday, a company source said.
The company is currently running the plant at 80% of capacity in light of the weak downstream demand, the source said.
It is not likely to reach full capacity this month, the source added.
The producer has decreased its offers at yuan (CNY)9,900/tonne ($1,557/tonne) DEL (delivered) on 6 July, CNY400/tonne lower than its offers before the shutdown, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
