SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Jixing Automobile Gas is expected to start up a 500,000 cubic metre/day liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant at Songyuan in northeast China’s Jilin province in 2013, a company source said on Friday.

Feedstock gas will be supplied by PetroChina’s Jilin Oilfield, the source said.

The project will be built and operated by a local subsidiary, the source added.

Downstream distribution will target markets in northeast China’s Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces, the source said.

Jixing Automobile Gas is largely engaged in the production and distribution of LNG and compressed natural gas (CNG).
