LONDON (ICIS)--European third-quarter titanium dioxide (TiO2) prices have decreased by €0.10-0.20/kg ($0.12-0.24/kg) because of weak demand and lower raw material costs, sources said on Friday.
TiO2 prices are now at €3.00-3.20/kg FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
Buyers said the market is long and they have been receiving attractive offers from producers keen to offload stocks.
Some buyers have stocks from last year or earlier this year, so even though producers are offering lower priced material, consumers are unlikely to make large purchases.
