HOUSTON (ICIS)--Initial US June styrene contracts have settled at declines of 2.00-3.50 cents/lb ($44-77/tonne, €36-62/tonne) during the week, trade sources said on Friday.
The initial declines were in line with market expectations after producers opted to not announce contract initiatives.
The decline also followed June benzene contract declines of 10.00 cents/lb.
Additional June styrene contracts are expected to settle in the week ending 13 July.
However, July styrene contracts could rebound following the 19.00 cents/gal increase in the July benzene contract.
May styrene contracts were settled at a rollover of 70.00-74.00 cents/lb FOB (free on board).
