SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Nanning Sugar Industry will delay the restart of its 30,000 tonne/year ethanol unit at Nanning in Guangxi province, a company source said on Monday.

The source did not give the exact restart date or the reason for the delay.

The shutdown, which started in early June, was initially expected to last for one month, the source said, adding that the company does not have any inventory for sale.

The unit uses molasses as feedstock, the source added.

Traders said they expect little impact on the market because of the plant’s small capacity.
