HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Marathon Petroleum is in the restart process of refinery units at its Catlettsburg refinery in Kentucky following a storm-related power outage, a company spokesman said on Monday.
The 212,000 bbl/day refinery shut down units after severe storms in the area caused a power outage on Sunday, according to a filing with the US National Response Center.
“We are currently in the process of restarting the refinery units. There were no OSHA recordable injuries,” said Marathon Petroleum’s communications manager Shane Pochard.
Pochard declined to comment on which units were shut down.
