China June PE, PP imports fall 2% from May - sources

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China may have imported a total of 910,000 tonnes of combined polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in June, down by 2% from the previous month, industry sources said on Wednesday.
An estimated 590,000 tonnes of PE and 320,000 tonnes of PP were taken in, they said.
June PE imports would be up 1.7% month on month, while PP imports were down 8.4%, based on official data for May.
Official data on China’s petrochemical trade for June will be released later this month.By: Amy Yu
