China’s Beijing Corona to build photovoltaic project in north China

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Beijing Corona Technology plans to build a 100 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic project at Laiyuan county in Baoding, Hebei province, a company source said on Wednesday.

Construction of the project, which will cost yuan (CNY) 1.3bn ($204m), will begin in the third quarter of 2012 and is expected to be completed in 2015, the source said.

“Construction may start next month (August),” the source said.

Commercial operations are expected to start in the second half of 2015 and the plant’s output will be targeted at the local market in Baoding, the source added.
