US DAP exports up by 19% month on month in May

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US diammonium phosphate (DAP) exports in May were up by 19% from April, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Wednesday.

US DAP exports rose to 441,125 tonnes from 369,366 tonnes in April, mainly because of greater demand from Brazil.

At 152,627 tonnes, Brazil was the major destination for US DAP exports, followed by India at 51,940 tonnes and Argentina at 44,016 tonnes.

Other export destinations included Mexico, Australia, Peru, Guatemala, Colombia, Chile and Honduras.
