HOUSTON (ICIS)--US glycol ethers (butyl glycol and butyl di-glycol) exports in May increased by 10% from the same month a year earlier, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Wednesday.
US exports of butyl glycol (EB) and butyl di-glycol (DB) rose to 16,160 tonnes in May from 14,755 tonnes in May 2011.
May exports also increased from 12,604 tonnes in April.
Korea at 3,551 tonnes was the major destination for glycol ethers exports, followed by Taiwan at 3,238 tonnes, India at 1,622 tonnes and China at 1,603 tonnes.
Other destinations included United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Belgium, Venezuela, Thailand and Brazil.
