SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indonesia’s Trans-Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI) has further delayed the restart of its 550,000 tonne/year paraxylene (PX) unit in Tuban to the fourth quarter of 2012 because of unspecified reasons, sources familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

“No cargoes are available for July and August [loading] and no specific date was given on when the delivery can be resumed,” said a trader familiar with the development.

TPPI’s aromatics unit was shut on 13 December 2011 for regular maintenance and was originally scheduled to restart in January this year. However, the restart was delayed to the third quarter of 2012 previously, traders said.
