China’s Jiangsu Dahe raises aniline unit run rate to 50%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Dahe Chlor-alkali Chemical has increased the operating rate of its 30,000 tonne/year aniline unit at Yancheng city in Jiangsu province to 50% of capacity, in line with rising feedstock benzene prices, a company source said on Friday.

The company had been running its aniline unit at 30% of capacity after shutting it for maintenance between 22 June and 6 July, the source added.

Benzene prices were at yuan (CNY) 7,800-7,900/tonne ($1,224-1,240/tonne) on 12 July, up by CNY150-200 from 6 July, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
