LONDON (ICIS)--European July dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) reference prices fell by €59/tonne ($72/tonne) from June to €904-945/tonne on Friday, in line with upstream paraxylene (PX), according to an assessment by ICIS.

The European July PX contract settled at €995/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), down by €95/tonne from last month's contract.

The third-quarter contract price for methanol, a secondary feedstock for DMT, is €340/tonne FOB (free on board) Rotterdam, a rollover from the second quarter.

The DMT prices were assessed on a FD NWE basis.
