SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) has successfully completed the construction of a crude pipeline in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the operation ceremony was held on 15 July, CNPC said on Tuesday.

The 424.22km-long pipeline can transmit 7.5m tonnes/year of crude from Habshan oilfield in the west to Fujairah port in eastern UAE, CNPC said in a statement.

China Petroleum Engineering and Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of CNPC, built the project under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract won in November 2008, it said.

The $3.3bn (€2.7bn) pipeline is also CNPC’s biggest overseas project so far, according to the company.
