China's CNOOC Huahe signs construction deal for two ferts plants

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) Huahe Coal Chemical Company has signed a deal with China National Chemical Engineering for the construction of two fertilizer plants in Heilongjiang province, a source from CNOOC Huahe said on Tuesday.

CNOOC Huahe plans a 300,000 tonne/year ammonia plant and a 520,000 tonne/year urea unit at Hegang city in northeastern China that are expected to start up in October 2013, the source said.

Construction should start soon but no specific date was disclosed, the source said.
