US propylene stocks up 5%; refinery rates at 92%

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories rose by 5.0% in the second week of July while operating rates at US refineries fell slightly, data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Wednesday.
 
Propylene inventories were at 4.396m bbl in the week that ended on 13 July, up from 4.188m bbl a week earlier, the government reported.
 
US refineries operated at 92.0% of capacity last week, down from 92.7% a week earlier.
 
Refinery-grade propylene (RGP) was offered on Wednesday at 37 cents/lb ($816/tonne, €661/tonne) with no bids. RGP traded at 37 cents/lb last week.
