NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Friday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: August WTI: $91.50/bbl, down $1.16/bbl. September BRENT: $106.55/bbl, down $1.25/bbl
Prices fell sharply on the back of a firmer US dollar and pre-weekend profit taking having gained more than $6.00/bbl over the course of the week.

NAPHTHA: $867-869/tonne, down $5/tonne
The cargo range slipped on the back of lower crude oil values. August swaps were assessed at $861-863/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,340-1,380/tonne, steady
August was offered at $1,345/tonne, edging up from Thursday. July was quiet so far and unchanged.

STYRENE: $1,410-1,430/tonne, steady
July was quiet and unchanged. August was firmer at $1,415-1,450/tonne.
