SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China imported 2,000 tonnes of spot base oils from a producer in Thailand for August delivery after a four-month gap, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.
The cargo consists of 1,000 tonnes of SN500 and 1,000 tonnes of BS150 base oils and was purchased by a Tianjing-based customer, the source added.
China suspended purchases of spot base oils from the Thai producer in April, amid high prices and weak demand, market sources said.
The producer had exported 2,000 tonnes of spot base oils to China in March.
