LONDON (ICIS)--Ammonia prices in the US Gulf for August will roll over from July at $690/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Tampa, producer Yara confirmed on Tuesday.
The announcement did not come as a surprise, with many industry participants expressing confidence last week that prices would roll over following significant hikes in recent months.
The June price was $625/tonne (€513/tonne) CFR Tampa, up by $80/tonne on May’s price of $545/tonne CFR.
Strong demand from US farmers looking to refill their tanks, combined with the rollover of ammonia prices at Yuzhny in the Black Sea, are behind the rollover.
Ammonia prices in Yuzhny have also rolled over from July, at $600/tonne FOB (free on board).
