SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s combined imports of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) in June totaled 906,500 tonnes, up 12.4% from the same period last year but down 2.4% from May, official data showed on Tuesday.
It took in 323,000 tonnes of PP in June, representing a 1.8% year-on-year decline and a 7.5% fall from the previous month’s levels, according to China Customs.
The country’s PE imports, on the other hand, stood at 583,500 tonnes last month, up 22.1% year on year and were 0.5% higher than May’s levels.
