HOUSTON (ICIS)--Expandable polystyrene (EPS) producer NOVA Chemicals has completed a turnaround at its Monaca, Pennsylvania EPS plant, a company spokesman said on Tuesday.
Maintenance began on 9 July and lasted 10 days, the spokesman said.
Market participants said the planned shutdown has contributed to some tightness in the market, particularly as buyers are trying to buy ahead of announced price increases for August.
The plant has a capacity of about 81,500 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
