SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China Resources (Holdings) Co shut down its 300,000 tonne/year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle chip line at Zhuhai in Guangdong province on 24 July following a power outage caused by typhoon Vincente, a company source said on Wednesday.
The line will restart when the company is able to restore electricity, the source added without giving a definite date.
The line was running at 80% of capacity before the shutdown.
On Tuesday Zhuhai BP too had to shut its two PTA plants in the same city due to power outage caused by the typhoon.
