SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan has nominated its August paraxylene (PX) Asian Contract Price (ACP) at $1,490/tonne (€1,237/tonne), a company source said on Wednesday.
The nominated price is $330/tonne higher than the chemical producer’s initial settlement with its ACP buyers of $1,160/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Asia for August.
Rival Japanese producer JX Nippon Oil & Energy nominated its August ACP at $1,490/tonne CFR Asia earlier today, according to its customers.
