Construction works to replace the naphtha pipe, which was damaged by the fire, has begun on Wednesday, she said by the telephone.
Idemitsu has shut the CDU following a fire which broke out at about 19:40 Japan time (10:40 GMT) on July 20.
Naphtha had leaked from the corroded pipe and caught fire, the official said.
Idemitsu did not expect any problems with supplies of fuel oil or lube oil while the unit is shut, the official added.
