SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Qilu has restarted its 70,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Zibo in Shandong province on 31 July after shutting it on 24 July because of poor margins, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant has been producing PP yarn since its restart, according to the source.

Details on its current operating rate were not immediately available.

The turnaround has had little influence on the domestic market given its short duration and the current weak demand for the product, according to market players.
