Sumitomo Chemical Singapore plans late Aug restart of PMMA line

BRISBANE (ICIS)--Sumitomo Chemical Singapore plans to restarts its No 1 polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) line in late August after shutting it down for maintenance in end July, a company source said on Thursday.

The 50,000 tonne/year line in Jurong Island will remain off line for close to a month, he added.

Meanwhile, the company’s 50,000 tonne/year No 2 PMMA line at the same site is running at 100% of capacity with no shutdown scheduled for this year, said the source.
