SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Beijing Yanshan shut down its 45,000 tonne/year isobutylene-isoprene copolymer (IIR) plant in Beijing on 1 August, a company source said on Thursday.
The shutdown was originally planned for 15 August. However, the procedure was delayed, the source said, without elaborating on the specific reason for the adjournment.
The plant will be shut for maintenance for about 30 days. The expected restart date has not yet been confirmed by the company, the source added.
Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical is a major IIR producer in China.
