HOUSTON (ICIS)--Phillips 66 will make repairs through next week to a short circuit detected at its 247,000 bbl/day Sweeny refinery in Texas, the company said in a state regulatory filing on Thursday.
The short circuit causes a portion of the rapper system to operate abnormally, which can lead to increased opacity, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
The company said maintenance would last through 9 August and listed a fluid catalytic cracking unit as a source of emissions.
Phillips 66 was not immediately available for comment.
