China’s GCL-Poly to build 970-MW of photovoltaic capacity by 2015

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s GCL-Poly Energy Holding plans to build at least 970 megawatt (MW) of photovoltaic capacity during year 2013 to 2015, a company statement said on Monday.

The company initially plans to achieve 200 MW of PV capacity in 2013, 300 MW in 2014 and around 473 MW in 2015, in regions such as Northwest, East and North China.

Construction details were not given in the statement.

The projects will be financed and owned by China Merchants New Energy while GCL-Poly is mainly responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and obtaining lands and electricity tariffs approvals, according to the statement.
