SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, plans to shut its 800,000 tonne/year urea unit in Heilongjiang province, northeast China, on 15 August for regular maintenance, a company source said on Monday.

The company will shut the plant for 15 days,” the source added.

The shutdown is unlikely to have a significant impact on spot prices as downstream demand remains weak, an industry source said.
