China’s Shandong Yankuang to shut ethyl acetate plant on 8 Aug

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Yankuang Chemical plans to shut its 200,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac) plant at Tengzhou in Shandong province on 8 August for annual maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

Its upstream 600,000 tonne/year acetic acid plant at the same site will also be taken off line at the same time for maintenance lasting about 15 days, the source said.

Other etac makers in China include Jiangsu Sopo, Jiangmen Handsome Chemical Development, Shanghai Wujing Chemical and Shandong Jinyimeng Group.
