China’s Shenzhen Gas signs supply deals with two power companies

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shenzhen Gas announced on Tuesday that it signed letters of intent (LOIs) on 6 August with two power companies for 1.15bn cbm/year of gas supply over 25 years.

Under the LOI signed with Huadian Power International (Guangdong), Shenzhen Gas will supply around 400m cbm/year of gas to Huadian’s three planned generators in Shenzhen for 25 years starting from 1 October 2013.

In another LOI inked with Shenzhen Datang Baochang Gas-fired Power, Shenzhen Gas will supply around 750m cbm/year of gas to the two generators in Shenzhen under Datang Baochang from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2039.

Detail terms such as price, exact volume and duration will be stated in formal purchase and sale agreements signed in the future, Shenzhen Gas said in a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
