SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Dushanzi Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, has suspended supply of solvent oils for August because of insufficient output and is expected to resume sales in September, a company source said on Thursday.

Market sources said that Dushanzi Petrochemical’s sales halt will reduce overall supply and help to bolster prices.

Mainstream No 120 solvent oils were traded at yuan (CNY) 9,200-9,500/tonne ($1,444-1,491/tonne) on 9 August in southern China, unchanged from the previous day, traders said.

($1 = CNY6.37)
