LONDON (ICIS)--The European August styrene contract reference price (CRP) has been settled at €1,375/tonne ($1,698/tonne), up by €135/tonne from the previous month, one consumer said on Thursday.
The increase of €135/tonne was in line with the August barge contract settlement agreed earlier in the month.
Despite a slowdown in activity, styrene prices this month have been supported by higher feedstock costs as well as some tightness owing to restricted imports coming into Europe from the ?xml:namespace>
The contract was agreed on a free carrier (FCA)
($1 = €0.81)
