“No 2 unit was restarted yesterday [Thursday] and is currently running at a reduced rate,” the source said.
The source did not specify the exact production rate.
The restart was delayed partly because change of catalyst took longer than expected.
The unit has a nameplate capacity of 250,000 tonnes/year of PX and 70,000 tonnes/year of OX.
The company plans to shut its No 3 PX/OX unit next week for maintenance but only after the No 2 unit resumes full operation, the source added.
The No 3 unit has a nameplate capacity of 260,000 tonnes/year of PX and 40,000 tonnes/year of OX.
