Fire hits CPC Corp's Dalin refinery in Taiwan

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--A fire erupted at the Dalin refinery of Taiwan’s CPC Corp on Friday morning, a company source said.

The fire occurred at a residue desulfurisation (RDS) unit at the site, the source said.

The blaze broke out at about 10:00 Taipei time (03:11 GMT) and was contained about an hour and a half later, according to local media reports in Taiwan.

No other details were available. CPC declined to comment on the incident.

CPC’s Dalin refinery has a 300,000 bbl/day capacity, according to the company’s website.
