SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Hefei Sifang Phosphate Compound Fertilizer Co plans to restart its 100,000 tonne/year diammonium phosphate (DAP) unit at Hefei in Anhui province in mid-August, a company source said on Monday.
The plant was shut nearly six months ago amid low demand for 57% DAP in the first half of this year.
The restart will help to increase supply of 57% DAP in east China, as larger producers mainly deliver to north China, a market player said.
The spot prices of 57% DAP in China has remained stable at yuan (CNY) 2,900/tonne ($456/tonne) ex-warehouse (EXWH) in the past two weeks, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
