SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Qingdao Petrochemical, a subsidiary of Sinopec, plans to shut down its 15,000 tonne/year benzene line at Qingdao in Shandong province for a scheduled maintenance from 20 August, a company source said on Monday.

The turnaround will last for around 45 days, the source added.

The temporary closure of Qingdao Petrochemical’s benzene line is expected to have minimal impact on the spot market because its production capacity is small, traders said.
