SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yunnan Yuntianhua Co will conduct a 45-day maintenance at each of its three polyacetal (POM) lines at Chongqing, a company source said on Tuesday.

The three lines, each with a 20,000 tonne/year capacity, will take turns in completing the turnaround, the source said.

The first unit was taken off line on 30 July, the source said.

Meanwhile, the company’s fourth POM unit located in Yunnan with a 30,000 tonne/year capacity is not scheduled to undergo maintenance, the source said.

The Yunnan POM unit is currently running at high rates, the source said.

POM, which is also known as polyoxymethylene and polyformaldehyde, is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts.
