HOUSTON (ICIS)--CB&I has won a contract for work on BASF’s planned butadiene extraction facility in Antwerp, Belgium, the US-based petrochemicals engineering firm said on Tuesday.

The plant is expected to start up in 2014.

CB&I said that its contract, which includes engineering, procurement and construction management work, is valued at more than $50m (€41m). It did not comment on capacity details.

BASF said last month that it plans to build a 155,000 tonne/year butadiene extraction plant at its site in Antwerp.
