Ukraine's first-half urea exports rise by 10%

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Ukraine's total urea exports reached some 1.7m tonnes in the first half of 2012, up by around 10% year on year, according to data from the Ukrainian State Statistical Service released on Tuesday.

In June, urea exports amounted to 299,405 tonnes, an increase of 10.4% year on year, the agency added.

In terms of value, urea exports were up 50.4% year on year in June at $135m (€109m), it said.

In 2011, Ukraine's urea exports reached 3.6m tonnes, up 37% up year on year, according to the agency.
